Jeri’s Oysters
The Brief
Rebrand Jeri’s Oysters, and parent company Jeri’s Seafood, a Galveston Bay operation since 1970 sold wholesale and in HEBs across Texas. Leverage the local aspect to communicate freshness, and make it feel like the three-generation family-owned and operated business it is.
The Execution
Selling Jeri’s throughout high school and college while working at HEB, I remembered Jeri’s Oysters for their monochromatic blue packaging. I knew it had to be preserved in some way out of respect for the brand’s history and to maintain brand recognition. With the primary color locked down, I hand-illustrated the logotype and design elements with hardworking Texans and ease of scale in mind.
Once I developed the visual building blocks, I worked with Brooke, Michael, and Giorgie to ensure the brand was consistent across all instances.
